Who we are

OpenLabWork is the independent software lab of Ahmet Doğan, based in Türkiye. Ahmet Doğan is responsible for the personal data described here (data controller under the Turkish KVKK and the EU GDPR).

Visiting the website

The site uses no cookies, no advertising and no tracking pixels.

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies and does not build a profile of you. Like every web server, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse.

Your browser keeps two small preferences on your own device: the language you chose (localStorage) and whether the intro animation has already played in this tab (sessionStorage). They never leave your device.

The newsletter

If you subscribe, we store: your email address, your language, the lists you chose (everything, or specific projects), the page you subscribed from, the time you confirmed, and a one-way salted hash of your IP address as proof of consent. We never store the raw IP address.

Subscription is double opt-in: nothing is sent until you click the confirmation link we email you. If you do not confirm, the link expires after 7 days and your address is deleted within 30 days.

If you use one of our apps (for example Miyaniva) and agreed there to receive updates, your address may be added to that app’s list. Every email offers the same one-click unsubscribe.

We use your address only to send OpenLabWork emails. We do not sell, rent or share it with anyone for their own purposes.

Legal basis

Your explicit consent (KVKK art. 5/1, GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it.

Services that process data for us

Cloudflare — hosting, the subscriber database and website analytics.

Brevo and Resend — they deliver our emails, sent from our own domain. Brevo may record whether an email was opened or a link was clicked; we use this only in aggregate to see whether emails arrive, and never to profile anyone.

These providers may process data outside Türkiye (for example in the EU or the United States) under their own data processing terms.

How long we keep it

As long as you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe we stop all emails at once and keep only a minimal record that you opted out, so that you are never emailed again by mistake. If you ask, we delete everything.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to its use — write to [email protected]. To stop emails, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email; it works with one click.

You may also complain to a data protection authority: in Türkiye the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK), in the EU the authority of your country.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
